Wonderful Wellington!Posted: October 17, 2011
You have heard about the spectacular inFIRE 2012 conference programme, but have you heard how spectacular Wellington is?
I often think that Wellington is small but perfectly formed. It’s easy to get around, and the waterfront is gorgeous. Great coffee too … not that I am obsessed or anything!
We will be taking in a couple of sites as part of the programme … a ferry across the harbour to Day’s Bay for conference dinner at Cobar, the cable car to the Wellington Botanic Garden, waterfront wanders …
You may also want to check out:
- Te Papa Tongarewa, Museum of New Zealand (just on that fab waterfront)
- Zealandia, the Karori Sancturary Experience – native flora and fauna just minutes from the CBD
- Weta Cave – for Lord of the Rings fans, and all things Weta Studios
For more fabulous places to visit check out the Know Wellington website.
And … did you know there were vineyards just over them thar hills? For those who would like to venture a tiny bit further afield you could check out wineries in the Wairarapa, or take a ferry across Cook Strait to Picton, the Marlborough Sounds and more amazing wineries.
Go on, you know you want to! Join us at inFIRE 2012, in Wellington.
